Measured indicators and screened values

What the seven probe indicators actually mean.

TerraProbe records seven indicators on every sample.

MEASURED
Moisture, electrical conductivity (EC) and temperature are measured directly by the probe.

SCREENED FROM CONDUCTIVITY
pH, nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium are indicative values calculated from the conductivity reading. They are useful for relative screening across a paddock or season — they are not independent laboratory measurements, and they are never a fertiliser or lime prescription.

When a decision needs defensible chemistry, file an accredited laboratory report beside the paddock record and treat the portable screen as context, not the verdict.
